About Simply You

Counselling, Supervision & Training

Let me share with you my passion and experience in this field, and why I am committed to supporting individuals therapeutically, as well as fostering mental health awareness in educational settings.

A few years ago, while working in an NHS role, I met a young girl who left a lasting impression on me. She was a beautiful little girl with big curly locks. She was terrified to walk into the building where I worked. I later learned the reason behind her fear: she had been deeply traumatised by a past event, which made her afraid of entering any building due to the trauma and loss that she had experienced.

After offering her some reassurance, she and her parent finally entered the building with me. Over the following months, the little girl attended several therapy sessions, and I witnessed a profound transformation. Eventually, I saw her run into the building, smiling and laughing, as if a heavy burden had been lifted from her shoulders. It was a beautiful moment to witness her regain her happiness, and it’s something that has stayed with me to this day.

Today, my work focuses on supporting adults. After years of voluntary work with diverse groups in various therapeutic settings, I became a qualified person-centred therapist and gained further experience working within large organisations such as the NHS, as well as Mental Wellbeing and Bereavement charities.

I truly love the work I do, and having gone through my own personal experience of bereavement and life difficulties, which led me on my own therapeutic journey, I now hope to support others in the best way I can.
